In a disturbing trend we're seeing lately, another person from the community has been recently accused of pedophilia. While the majority of the fandom expressed their disgust of the allegations, a few have taken to hashtag activism in support of the now former director.

On October 7th, a Twitter user started a thread coming out about her previous encounters with a Victor Vortex, a self-proclaimed VA and the director of "Harmony Studios."
Almost immediately, people were denying the screen caps, because that's what Twitter does.
That group is also a community guest for the upcoming "Harmony Con," a 2019 convention being held in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Currently, Harmony Studios will still be community guest, minus Victor Vortex of course.
A day after the allegations come out, Victor Vortex released a video acknowledging that shit happened, and of course making excuses for the matter because apparently that's what people do.
In order to show that one of MLP's major theme of forgiveness should apply to child groomers, they — the supporters of Victor — rolled out the unique hashtag, and I shit you not:

I don't believe his "I was court ordered to help", he obviously lying to get out of legal troubles. And there are retards defending Dusky too, which makes me think that they've been brainwashed by MLP's fucked up, toxic "forgiveness/reformation without any consequences" morals.
And so, the ToonKritic effect is continuing to spread throughout the fandom (even though Toon wasn't the first nor last, and Psyguy arguably was a lot worse)...I don't think this train's going to stop crashing off the rails anytime soon also. Hopefully Victor will get what he deserves (along with other pedos like Digibro and Fluffle Puff), it's bad enough the justice system most likely fucked up when dealing with Dusky Novel...

ReplyDeleteWell, that's it, thanks to Victor not willing to change (obviously) and Rachel being a blind asskisser, with Harmony planning to bring him back to future conventions and to continue working there, Harmony Studios has just destroyed what little credibility their animation studio had left to offer.
