Heroes Never Die! |
So we've known for a long time that Sia is in the MLP movie, and she sings a song called "Rainbow". Well here's the full music video, appropriately on some cheap Chinese site. It's loaded with spoilers, including the ending, where Tempest is seen making fireworks with Twilight.
It's basically tradition at this point for MLP to show you the ending before you even see the beginning!
Time for some screencaps
for people who want to download it, there are 2 mega links.

both are made by downloading the flv and repacking it as mp4.

and of course the fucking villain gets reformed like always
ReplyDeleteIKR? They just recycled Starlight Glimmer but even worse. There was NO reason why Tempest needed to be redeemed/reformed after all the shit she's done.
Deleteoh look, a no stakes ending where the villain turns good again. how creative, mccarthy.
ReplyDeleteThe movie with a racist Twilicorn will be a box office flop.
DeleteIf they were going to go for that "PG" rating , why not grow some balls and kill off the villain? McCarthy sucks.
ReplyDeleteMcCarthy and Vogel will get fired if the movie is a bomb.
DeleteVogel sucks anyway, he couldn't write if his life depended on it. Sadly though I used to like McCarthy I must now declare she is a hack, a bad one.
DeleteI waited seven years for this dissapointing, souless piece of trash.
ReplyDeleteI really should have known better, and the only thing that post Faust MLP has taught me is that there's no hope, no happiness, no respect and not a single drop of care on the souls of the staff handing the franchise.
Thanks for nothing, I guess.
What exactly did you expect and how is it bad? And what's wrong with post-Faust MLP?
DeleteHere comes the pathetic damage control, because as we all know by now, any kind of opinion that isn't a praise OR isn't a favorable comparation to the Faust era MUST be immediately countered with passive-agressive attacks.
DeleteBut to answer your question: I expected a movie about the ponies I know and love, not about a truckdump of original characters voiced by Literally Who people.
DeleteI also expected to see Celestia and Luna doing something cool for once, instead of being thrown under the bus like they always do.
I also expected to see an adventure where they could explore new lands and see what's beyond Equestria, instead of getting an asspull about "They were under Canterlot all along!"
I expected a movie that made me remember why I loved this eri4s in the first place, instead of a souless piece of crap that only reminded me why I ended hating the series AND the souless team of hacks behind of it.
And before you start barking about how "Well, it's YOUR fault because this series is for little girls, not for you! So it can be shit because kids are retards who will praise anything!" I must tell you that my expectations for a movie were so low and easy to satisfy that something so modest as a long episode exploring Everfree Forest and revealing some details about Equestria's past would have been more than enough to make me all happy.
This movie failed at filling such a lowkey request because the staff only cared about adding pop songs, OCs by the truckload and the most bland, generic story rather than caring for real.
You and me both, I wanted a movie that would have reignited my love for the first few seasons instead of me growing to hate it in the long run.
DeleteThey also just recycled plot elements from previous season openers and finales and just "enhanced" them so they wouldn't have to come up with anything original, and they made most of the characters unlikable, if you thought Twilight in that shitball of an episode known as "No Second Prances" was bad, wait till you see her here...
Even the G1 MLP movie with its flaws was better than this.
As if the inevitable bad/mediocre reviews don't guarantee this movie will be a flop, the final nail in the coffin is that they only just now started showing the first TV spots for the movie. I know this movie is a low budget experiment for Hasbro, but their lack of advertising is going to seriously hurt this film even more.

Well, finally got the chance to watch the movie.
ReplyDelete... I wish I hand't. Seriously, it had been a long time since the last time I felt like I had thrown my money into the trash, the movie was just a long, padded and chaotic mass of dissapointment and broken promises. What a waste of time and money!
