There are also details concerning the names of the episodes in a Discovery Family Press Release.
"The elements of friendship – Honesty, Kindness, Loyalty, Generosity, Laughter and Magic – are back and stronger than ever this April on Discovery Family in the seventh season of MY LITTLE PONY: FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC, premiering with two back-to-back episodes on Saturday, April 15 at 11:30a/10:30c. Additionally, guest stars William Shatner (Star Trek) and Felicia Day (Supernatural, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) join the cast for a very special episode in late summer.
This season, fans will be introduced to fun new characters with surprising family ties to the franchise’s iconic Mane 6 ponies, comprised of Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Apple Jack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. From royal sisters Princess Celestia and Princess Luna to visits from Rainbow Dash’s over-enthusiastic parents and Twilight Sparkle’s adorable niece, Flurry Heart, the Mane 6 will experience their most exciting adventures yet throughout 26 magical episodes featuring five brand-new original songs and tons of adventure.
In the back-to-back premiere episodes titled “Celestial Advice” and “All Bottled Up,” Twilight Sparkle agonizes over Starlight Glimmer’s future and receives some much-needed advice from her very own mentor – Princess Celestia. While the Mane 6 are on a friendship retreat, Starlight Glimmer loses Twilight Sparkle’s friendship map. Afraid her anger might get out of control, Starlight Glimmer casts a calming spell while the ponies search for the lost map."
Sounds like cringe to me
ReplyDeleteAgreed.
Delete>Glimmer
ReplyDeleteThis season is already shit
God I'm getting really sick of Starlight Glimmer. She made a good, interesting villain in season 5, but now that she's reformed she's unbearable. It's too bad this show feels the need to reform every single good villain. (Yes, they didn't reform Chrysalis, but turning the changelings into gay rainbow bug-deer was almost as bad, or maybe even worse, if nothing else for the fact they replaced good/interesting character design with amateur-hour "my first Flash character" designs, complete with ugly gradient fills.)
ReplyDeleteI really, honestly hope Season 7 is good. I *want* the show to be good. And tbh I'll probably enjoy at least some of the episodes. But the show lost its original vision years ago and has struggled (I'd argue failed) to find a new one even after 6 seasons. Maybe this'll be the season that will change.
(And maybe this will be the season Starlight Glimmer actually faces consequences for her actions instead of getting of scot-free every single fucking time)
There's nothing wrong with being into gay rainbow bug-deers
DeleteThey're not deer, they're still horses, their "antlers" are actually beetle pincers.
DeleteThe show used to be good until season 5, season 5 was mediocre.
DeleteI agree with ya though, Starlight is literally harmful to the show's existence, yet a lot of the fandom just kisses her ass.
@Sailor Sedna
DeleteI get what they were going for with the design and that they're supposed to be beetle-like. The gradient fills are supposed to look like the iridescence seen on some beetles. I'm just saying they could have done a much, much better job with their new design. As it is the design is looks ugly and lazy.
I'm already let down. All Starlight Glimmer, as if she isn't fucking overrated enough, is doing is doing what Princess Luna used to do: just hog the spotlight in the show and fandom, and now it's sad to see how a good amount of the Mane Six, particularly Rainbow and Twilight, along with Celestia and Luna, now matter so little to Hasbro. I just really, really, really hope that this will be her final appearance, and that season 7 will be really good, season 6 made my passion for this show go down greatly after they had jumped the shark at season 5's finale, and if it isn't, I am done with the show for good. I will watch the movie and still be a fan of MLP, but I will no longer watch the show.
ReplyDeleteI knew season 5's finale was going to be bad...I felt it in my gut, but I never knew this would happen.
FIM jumped the shark after season five? You're deluding yourself, FIM has been crap since season three and everything has been getting worse since then.
DeleteI would have told you that I thought the show was good for the first four seasons UNTIL season five, but since you sound like one of those pathetic season oners who are quick to put seasons one and two on a pedestal whilst throwing shit at seasons three onwards, I have no need to talk to you.
DeleteTo me, once Season 2 ended I felt like the momentum that kept the show going forward suddenly ceased. It's only because of said momentum that things began slowing down to the point we're all noticing in season 5 while some of us, like myself, have felt it since season 3.
DeleteGranted, my opinion changes depending if we're talking about individual episodes against seasons as a whole.
I felt it ceased halfway through season 5 rather than at season 3.
DeleteHere go the tears. Everyone's already whining about Starlight Glimmer and how much the show has sucked for years.
ReplyDeleteGet over yourselves. Starlight is more popular than the established characters right now because she's NOT one. The Mane 6 and CMC have gotten through much of their character development already and, like it or not, MLP needs some change to survive. Starlight, Trixie, Sunburst, Thorax and Discord offer us something new and different.
Nobody complained about a lack of consequences for Twilight brainwashing Ponyville or Rainbow destroying the weather factory, or Rarity slave driving her friends, or the complete destruction of the Grand Galloping Gala on two different occasions. Starlight never actually DID ANYTHING worse than lie to a bunch of ponies to convince them equality was the way.
The season 5 finale was a series of could-be's that Starlight VOLUNTARILY prevented by choosing to listen to Twilight. Her choosing to do nothing retconned anything she could have done, and Twilight did the only thing she could against a foe she couldn't beat. She recruited her to keep a closer eye on her.
Starlight hasn't graduated as a student, she's been released on parole. Twilight hasn't been a particularly good teacher, and Starlight learned a more on her own than Twilight taught her.
HASDRONE DETECTED.
DeleteThere were people complaining about all of those four things, particularly Rainbow destroying the factory.
Delete@Anonymous at 20:29
DeleteRather, rabid Starlight Glimmer fanboy/fangirl detected.
And if you don't like the show anymore, why are you even commenting here?
Because drama, Sailor Oblivious.
Delete> Nobody complained about a lack of consequences for Twilight brainwashing Ponyville
Deleteduh, because there were consequences. There is a reason why this episode is placed so early in the season.
Princess Cadence hasn't done much better for the series either.
ReplyDeleteCadence is at least good for sexual.
Delete@Anon
DeleteIt's a kids' show, and frankly that's a dumb reason, looks aren't everything.
Clearly good anon you're mistaken, Flurry Heart is good for sexual, Cadence is too old.
DeleteNobody wants to admit that this fandom is dying off, and it isn't because of the shows changes over the years. It's due to all of the excecive infighting and mud slinging that people have done over the years. What started out as a large welcoming and fun fanbase has now become just another drawn out tired fad that most people will remember in the next few years to come. The movie is just going to end up being the last hurrah before series ends entirely, and by that point in time people will have moved on to the next big thing.
ReplyDeleteLies, I've been here since the old days and let me tell you something, the fandom has always been full of shit and drama as far back as I can remember. Of course the fandom is
Delete"dying" or more precisely FIM has dwindled to the point of irrelevance, but I think FIM shitty writing, most of the FIM staff whoring themselves instead of improving the series and hasbro's business tactics are to blame.
The fandom's always had its bad sides with it.
DeleteIt's Big Jim.
ReplyDeleteI also hope that Starlight just gets booted off or becomes a minor secondary character after this premiere.
But we can all agree that the fandom is on it's last leg.
ReplyDeleteAs long as autists like Silly Sad-na exist, this will never die. Just like Sonic, it just takes one stubborn weed to keep it alive.
Delete@Anon at 0:26
DeleteGood job comparing him to Albert Einstein, one of the smartest people ever, dumbass troll. He's smarter than you'll ever be too.
@Anon @22:31
Don't listen to that other anon, he's a dumbass troll.
And no amount of shitposting is going to change that.
ReplyDeletethis movie is broadcasted on TV, my sisters really like watching this.
