    Another dissapointing episode.

    I don't know what happened, but looks like this is the last season I will bother watching.

      I don't think you'll need to worry about any more seasons... perhaps a few direct-to-dvd sequels to the movie but I'm willing to bet Season 6 will be the last (despite the rumors that it's only a 1-year production hiatus due to the movie).

      The other pony news sites try to downplay the low ratings as being due to people watching online, etc, but the correlation is still there: The novelty of MLP has worn off, which means no more curious newcomers are watching, and the established peak fanbase from 2012-2013 is moving on with life since the show is stagnating overall. So, the low nielsen ratings definitely *ARE* indicative of people (in-demo and older fans) losing interest in the show.

      As for this episode I really wanted to like it, since Fluttershy and Applejack are not a duo we see often working together... but yeah. Disappointing. Wasn't "bad," but it was extremely boring and predictable. The now 2-season-old ongoing "friendship problem"/"butt mark pager" thing has gotten really, really old.

      Just because people are interested in continuing the story doesn't mean it definitely will. Pony will only continue as long as Discover Family continues to renew the contract. Hasbro hasn't been interested in actively seeking a new home for MLP after the Discovery/Hasbro Studios split at the Hub like they have for Transformers. MLP is getting renewed only on a single year basis. If they end up not being renewed, there won't be a season 7 no matter what show staff are saying about future plans. The ball is 100% on Discover Family's court, so low ratings could threaten the show's life even if there is more online viewership than ever.

    It pisses me off a lot when the staff keeps bragging about their "hard work this, hard work that" and demand respect for something they have stopped caring about unless it's for the money and attention they keep milking from the fans.

    The series may have a great animation and all, but it's original essence and writing already died a long time ago.

    There isn't a news page or article for it. Since there is only a preview for it. But one of the dark corners of the internet I inhabit is creating a drama storm over the new preview and what Starlight Glimmer is doing to her friends in it.
