Episode Damage Report: Autism, But Also a Breakthrough

 

 In light of the newest episode being, in the words of one anon, "exactly what a Spike episode always is," the expected amount of drama emerged today soon after the episode "Princess Spike" finished airing. Strangely enough, it was not from Tumblr demanding answers to why the shitlords at DHX Media are sexist. No, this was a more homegrown drama.
Many people were rather dissapointed by the many issues in the episode, the least of which being that the supposed moral didn't actually mean anything and that the things Spike was actually punished for had nothing to do with him being selfish.

People obviously took this to the writers and complained in a completely embarrassing and inappropriately spiteful very insightful and balanced series of tweets, who responded with the following:

The reaction to these series of tweets, in addition to the general supposed closeness of IDW staff members and Jim Miller eventually was brought to a head in an hour-long display of pure rage with a strange ending:

This development is without precedent in the fandom, and is an example of either a man seeking to actually alleviate fears or one just trying to get a bunch of people to shut up. Regardless, the conversation happened and the whole drama was over in hours. Only time will tell if the words spoken with Twitter drama will have a long-term effect on the show.
