It's convention weekend. HN is already on the scene for Day 0 and I'm already into my third whiskey. PVL is here too and they've got some information about the weekend's AV coverage.
Ponyville Live! at BABSCon 2015 - Panels, Streams, Premieres and More:
The team here at Ponyville Live! is very excited to be a part of one of 2015′s biggest pony events, BABSCon 2015, the Bay Area Brony Spectacular, in Burlingame California this weekend (Apr 3-5).
For an event this big, we’ve pulled out all the stops! Our crew will be very hard at work all weekend, bringing you the very best that PVL has to offer, in lots of exciting ways. Check it all out below!
BABSCon Mane Events Live Stream
That’s right, folks! Just like last year, PVL is streaming every event from the “mane” stage (except, of course, for the show itself!) all weekend long.
The stream will be available via our LiveStream page or directly from the Ponyville Live! homepage.
Just like last year, the stream will feature direct audio from the stage, and we’ll have full HD footage online after the convention wraps up. You can find all of our previous convention footage (as well as this convention’s footage once it’s online) on the PVL Convention Center.
Here are the times we’ll be live streaming this weekend. For individual panel times, check the BABSCon schedule.
- Friday: 11am to 3am PDT / 2pm to 6am EDT
- Saturday: 10:45am to 2am PDT / 1:45pm to 5am EDT
- Sunday: 10am to 5pm PDT / 1pm to 8pm EDT
Why so late into the evenings on Friday and Saturday? Because that’s when the NEIGHhem happens! We’ll be bringing you every second of both concert nights live, all the way into the wee hours of the morning.
The Season 5 Premiere Party
Going to BABSCon? Worried that you might miss the premiere of Season 5 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic? Well you won’t miss it!
That’s right, everypony! Thanks a partnership between the convention and the team here at Ponyville Live!, BABSCon, with the support of Discovery Family and Hasbro, is pleased to bring you the incredibly long-awaited 2-part season premiere of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. And it’s going to be big!
Be in our Mane Events hall early to get a good seat; screening starts at 9am PDT on Saturday, April 4. An hour after it’s done, our big ol’ Voice Actor’s panel begins, too! There will be overflow rooms too so don’t feel like you won’t get a seat!
Also, tell all your Bay Area friends because the viewing is free; no con membership is required to see either of the premiere episodes!

Bringing Pony People Together
They still won't say exactly why Hasbro made them delay the premiere from the television broadcast by a whole hour. People will be done watching it on TV by the time we start. That's pretty lame.
ReplyDeleteDiscovery Family isn't exactly a basic/extended basic cable channel (at least on all the providers I know of), so I doubt the hotel will have it. People would have to watch it at home and then drive to the con. The premier is an hour-long and it starts at the con immediately following the end on cable. So people may have watched the premier, but they aren't at con to spoil it.
DeleteJust avoid social media between 8AM and 9AM. Shun the autists who wish to spoil it for everyone at the con with pirate streams.
I think what I'll do is watch it on a stream on my laptop live, and then see it again with the group. I still don't know why Hasbro is doing this delay.
