Finally!
The My Little Pony Official Youtube account posted this a few minutes ago. Season 5 is "confirmed" for "Spring 2015"
So yeah, that "March" prediction is looking pretty solid.
Credit where credit is due for DHN getting it first
Also: Season 5 confirmed for "The Twilight Sparkle Show"

DeleteFiM is probably the only MLP show to get 5 seasons.
ReplyDeleteIt's about time DHN got some recognition from a respected news outlet.
ReplyDeleteI hope they have a sex scene in season 5, for making us wait this long. >:(
ReplyDeleteAnd yet, I just don't care.
ReplyDeleteOf course Twilight Sue is the focus. McCarthy is still in charge.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I was super worried they were going to balance the focus out to her friends or new characters. Such a relief.
DeleteCall me back when Purple Smart loses her wings.
ReplyDeleteMe too. Just give the wings to Spike instead, he's a dragon for chrissake
DeleteDon't forget how the writers also sayd they didn't gave a shit about "details" like character growth or continuity.
ReplyDeleteSauce on this, please?
DeleteOr is this a HN writer baiting the commentors to get moree views? You like cooking up drama, after all.
After all >Season 5 confirmed Twilight Sparkle show
Again, sauce on this, please?
DeleteI don't remember when it was said, but one of the writers (I think it was Larsen) was asked during a panel about character growth, and he said that they basically reset the characters after each episode, and things they learn don't necessarily carry over to other episodes. Or something to that effect. The whole panel was on youtube, if I can find it I'll post it here.
DeletePlease do. Thanks.
DeleteBear in mind though, that he probably wasn't talking about continuity/character achievement progression/arcs, but character TRAIT progression.
Also >necessarily
That would mean that sometimes, it can.
I don't think he would say that they don't give a shit out loud, obviously, though his words might carry that implication. But, remember, that implication might be unintentional, and it might be your interpretation. So, I'll watch the whole thing and we'll see.
We need to take our own interpretations with a pinch of salt and get second opinions. /mlp/ is a discussion board, that's what it's there for.
I can't find it. It was recent, from 2013 or 2014. The video had them against a whitish yellowish wall, and there was a full table, more than 5 of them. I want to say capper or some other horse news person was up there with them, but I may be confusing it with a different panel.
DeleteIf I remember right, he was basically saying that they like to maintain a status quo with their main characters. That, say fluttershy for example, will always be fluttershy and she won't ever have any major character development that will change her character to a great extent. And except for a few key lessons that they may refer back to during later episodes, most of the lessons they learn are kinda meaningless.
Oh, I'm not the op by the way, I just recalled the panel the op was referring to.
So many saddlesore faustfags.
ReplyDeleteOh hey, another Hasdrone.
DeleteHey, I'm not excited for season 5, but I'm no faustfag. I preferred seasons 3 and 4 over 1 and 2, and the only reason I'm not excited for season 5 is I'd rather have more EqG than pony. Pony is just dull compared to EqG.
DeleteEqG is the same shit, but in high school. And I'll bet the show's gotten boring largely because of haphazard character development and lameass story arcs. Lookout, here comes two more princess! At least S1 had the good grace of setting a mostly solid foundation before the show started to dip. Also yeah some of the s3/s4 EPs were real nice.
DeleteI love how there are so many hasbro shills on /mlp/ now that if you even so much as criticize an aspect of the show, you're dismissed as a faustfag. Don't like the direction the show took? Must be a faustfag! Liked the library more than the crystal castle? Must be a faustfag! Liked season one at all? Must be a faustfag!
DeleteComing in 2015... Twilight Sparkle secret but fun!
ReplyDelete>Exists.
ReplyDelete>Will air in spring.
>Twilight Sparkle is involved somehow.
What total fucking shit. Lauren Faust is rolling in her grave.
0/10 - Ruined forever.
Eh, I'm excited. Also, love the toy plug at the end.

ReplyDeleteNo but seriously, if the sort of serious tone caries over into the actual show then I'm all for it.
>serious tone
Delete>cheesy previews guy performance
