Hasbro ends HUB Partnership, Happening Level elevated

The HUB will be changing, according to the Wall Street Journal earlier today. Hasbro and Discovery are ending their partnership and will be rebranded, and god knows what else. Obviously fans are concerned about what this means for the future of pony, the workhorse that has been pulling the network since the beginning. Out of sheer boredom and confusion of course, the board has elevated the happening level. So what comes next?

Truth is, we have no idea WHAT this entails for the future of pony. So decide for yourself.
Sorry to disappoint you anon.

  1. So what? It still sounds like there's a home for MLP, just not called the Hub.

    3. That's a bad insult it's not a bad thing to be gay that insult is invalid. And this site should be monitored. You can bet I'm telling the site if I can and you might get banned...so you better lay off of him!!!

  3. Hope they put it on a channel I actually have so I don't have to watch it on Dailymotion 4 hours after the episode actually comes out, which is after the internet completely ruins the episode for me.

  4. Is anyone really that surprised? MLP alone was carrying most of the hub. Why spend tens of millions to run a shit network monthly when you can just broker a deal to slap it on someone else's for pennies on the dollar?

I just hope S5 ends conclusively. You just don't know what lies beyond when you're not in full control...

    1. They would be in full control. When they make terms with whoever picks them up for broadcasting, they'll stipulate what they want for the shows they're planning to air. It's part of the terms discussed. The network can either agree, or not. Continuation of the IP still rests with Hasbro.

  5. The Hub's programming was more educational and factual than almost all of Discovery's channels currently are. Maybe with the exception of Science. And only because most of the shit there are re-runs of things Discovery still has rights to broadcast.

There, I said it. Fuck Discovery. Hasbro can find a new broadcast partner.

(This doesn't mean DHX are out, right? Because that would majorly suck.)

  6. DHX should use this opportunity to do another promo music video, like Equestria Girls back in 2011.

You and me baby ain't nothin' but mammals /
So let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel

  7. Good news is that we can eventually say goodbye to that fucking logo getting in the way.

  8. Guys, remember DHX bought the DiC/Nelvana IP library? They could start their own fucking premium streaming network. Or just latch onto Netflix. Imagine twenty more seasons of MLP with the same care that went into the final season of Clone Wars.
