This could be confirmation that Ron Weasley is, in fact a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is magic.
Another image popped up from a person who snagged a selfie with him.
The responses range from joy to terror, just as one would expect.
Add him to the big list, right after Jack Black.
"I felt a great disturbance in the Fandom, as if millions of Harry Potter Fans suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened."
And just like that, a large portion of Tumblr shat themselves in rage.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't even matter if he's legit. Don't even care.
Well done, Rob. Well done.
And just like that, a million Tumblrinas cried out in agony at one which they worshipped for ages.
ReplyDeleteAnd to that, I say hallelujah.
Jack Black? Huh, didn't know that. Seems appropriate.
ReplyDeleteNyuk nyuk nyuk nyuk nyuk
ReplyDeleteIs there actually a "big list" somewhere?
ReplyDeleteI don't give a fuck about him watching the show, but the very idea of potterfags rampaging over this makes me happy. Well done weasley.
ReplyDeleteI'm a HP fan and I don't really care. I also know the POtter fandom won't "rampage" over the idea one of the cast is a brony. We're not like the twihards
DeleteSince you are a potterfag, may I ask you something out of curiosity? Does a majority of the fandom actually like the movies? Are there major subfandoms around the actors? Because I personally found the movies cringeworthy for the most part, and if I did care about the book (which I don't, however) I would go complete butthurt about how the movies sucked.
DeleteNot the second anon here, but I'm also a HPfag. I'm not involved in the online fandom, so I can't really say anything for sure, but I'm pretty sure there's some degree of controversy and fanrage. Some people like the movies, some people don't. Personally, I liked the first two and the last three enough, and found the middle of the movie series to be mostly mediocre. The way the rest of the fandom sways... couldn't really say. Like I said, not involved.
DeleteI heard it said once that the only three things that the entire fandom agrees on are that Umbridge was awful, Ginny was better in the books, and that McGonagall's actress was perfectly cast. And... yeah, that sounds about right to me.
Eh, all of the movies were alright in my book. Although I'd say that I enjoyed them more because I'd been seein' them since the first movie came out back in '01, so what, seven years ago? I'd really loved the first three, I suppose due to their lighter atmosphere. It felt more 'imaginative'/'magical', I guess is a good way to put it. I read the books sometime in junior high, and I pretty much enjoyed them. I still enjoyed the later movies, but they had much a different feel to them, starting with Goblet of Fire.
DeleteTo me, I'd honestly say that's because of the darker turn it began to take, you know peeps started diein' and shit. Although they didn't really start capitalizing on that till Order of the Phoenix, really. I'm not really much on the online shit with the fandom, though. I could really care less what they think of one of the actors did happen to find an interest in MLP. No reason to be butthurt about that shit. Not all hope in the world is frackin' lost. I just really enjoyed watching them, honestly. If anything, for child-like nostalgia.
First/third anon here; don't want to start a debate about HP since this is not the right place, but I did enjoy the first movies, as well as the first books. I suppose I lost interest when the shit started turning so overly dark and edgy, it just didn't click (plus I honestly disliked the later movies and couldn't stand the acting, but that may have been largely due to the dubbing in my language).
DeleteYou sound like reasonable fans, though; >tfw my first online interaction with potterfags turns out to be a pleasant one.
4th anon here. The series isn't for everyone, and I don't particularly blame you for losing interest. I think the idea of it is that it's a series you're meant to start reading when you're young, and it gets progressively darker and more mature as its readers and characters grow up. In a sense, it's a clever idea, but it does mean that the series as a whole sacrificed having a consistent tone, which is definitely a problem if you prefer only darker fiction or only more lighthearted stuff.
Deletelol i'm a potterhead and a brony so this is great news to me, but the movies were crap after the first two.
DeleteIn response to the last issue to the anon two above myself; The change in tones works as you said, it kind of symbolizes the growth of the characters and, in my case, the audience along with them. At the time when I was reading Goblet of Fire, my mind had begun to want more mature content in what I was reading, not inappropriate, just not kiddy stuff either. I've been a Harry Potter fan since before the movies had even been considered. And to the rest of you, don't call us "potterfags", as I (And many others) would have to put up with both fandoms if it continues. But if it ends here, I won't have to choose sides.
DeleteI'm smiling from the butthurt. Oh yes. :D Ron Weasely done good. Brohoof bro! /)
ReplyDeleteLmao so fake, look at the first and second image......anyone with a brain can see that the Letters "Brony" are backwards on the second one even though in the first one he is facing the same direction.
ReplyDeleteedit: My bad, just realized this was taken with the iPhone self picture feature which turns words backwards like it would a mirror.
DeleteIf it was fake, the letters would've probably been photoshopped the correct way, faggot. It's actually a sign that it's legit.
DeleteDaniel Radcliffe was into fucking horses before it was cool. Remember Equus?
ReplyDeleteAh, yes, Equus. But don't you mean "Equius"? ._. D--> I am highly offended by the 100d spelling of my name.
DeleteNo. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equus_(play)
DeleteHe's also listed as a voice actor in Alpha and Omega 2: A Howl-iday Adventure.
DeleteWow capper seriously we've gone to the 'celebrities who might be bronies'
ReplyDeletearticles. I thought you had a lot further to fall.
shhh....he's doing it to piss off tumblr....read the Obi Wan quote
DeleteHow intolerant could a fandom that spawned the Snapewives be anyway?
ReplyDeleteHe's cute. Is he a harry potter fan or something?
ReplyDeleteJust love any news about Rupert! I like his independents films the best, Cheery Bomb and Driving Lessons! Also, liked the HP movies
ReplyDeleteI love Rupert too and HP. Why do you Little Pony people seem so angry?
ReplyDeleteRupert always just wears random weird t-shirts! He is looking good.
