Aoshi Apologizes - An Open Letter to /mlp/

Earlier this week, we posted about the incident involving Ponyville Live and a Brony Musician. Aoshi had become angry at PVL for posting a video of his performance at Trotcon, going as far as to threaten legal action against PVL, but he ultimately apologized for his behavior. That was not the end of the ordeal it seems, as Tumblr and Twitter users began to jump on the story, leaving over 145 comments on it.
This morning, Aoshi has posted a video issuing a formal apology to PVL and an "open letter to /mlp/".

  1. I don't get it. Why did he want it pulled in the first place?

    1. Something I've been wondering... As someone who has never been to a pony con, and only seen recorded videos of them, are performances like his the exception or the rule when it comes to the music?

There's always anons on /mlp/ saying how horrible they are, but are they really?

    2. It really depends. Some are good live musicians, others are crap. Most cons can't hide the crap because they can't afford autotune machines.

    3. I think he wanted it pulled because for most of the show his audio interface was fucking up really bad. Puking static everywhere. This kind of thing is normally handled during sound check, but only one band sound checked that night.

    4. With the right venue, Eurobeat Brony is an amazing live performer.

    6. Will confirm; Eurobeat seems to be a cool dude and I'm glad I got to see him at the SoCal Brony's Club Luna rave.

  3. Well, it came 145 comments too late for my liking, but I'm glad he eventually did decide to stop it, man up, and genuinely admit fault. At least I assume he did, 'cause I ain't watching a fifteen minute video. Time will tell if he manages to restrain himself from leaving another hundred comments on this article further making an ass of himself, but if he can, I'll take that as a sign that we can finally let this die. I do like me some drama, but Aoshi isn't real lolcow material to me. Too much smug, not enough dumb.

    3. @anon2 I never like to attribute to stupidity what can easily be explained as ego. They go hand in hand with each other, but they're not he same thing.

@Aoshi You and I have never interacted before now. As far as I'm concerned, I'm not the one who needs an apology, and I'm not the one who gets to decide if your apology was valid. I leave it to my fellow anons to watch your video and judge you, because frankly, I don't actually care one way or another. My only concern is when this saga will end. I'm hoping soon, but obviously, that's up to you.

    4. @Aoshi So, in less fancy talk, your apology was bullshit. I didn't waste my time watching it, but if it seemed sincere you've just announced to the world it wasn't. Should've taken my advice in the previous thread to shut-up; you're only making the hole you're digging for yourself deeper and wider.

  4. /)_(\ Can't you guys let it go? I talked to Aoshi on YouTube and the guy felt horrible about the whole thing. Just let it go...

    1. We will "let it go" once he stops making an as out of himself.

We will not "let it go" if that means letting him think he "won" and that he never did anything bad to begin.

      Delete
    2. I'll let it go now because it's kinda stupid. Fuck if he thinks he "won", this is the Internet. We're all horsefucking losers.

    3. Speak for yourself, douche. I'm not a fucking brony like the rest of you on here.

    4. Sorry. -Most- of us are horsefucking losers; some are apparently -regular- fucking losers who wandered in by mistake. Better?

  5. >I'm only pretending to say I'm sorry not because I'm wrong but because I want to manipulate you into thinking I'm not a horrible person

  7. "And so, I write so that anyone might know me through my words, and hopefully come to understand my life, for I feel a great need to be understood and forgiven for my actions, though it should come only after my [downfall]"
    -Ixion, Ch 2, Pg 2

Aoshi brought himself this sting to his career, and to his reputation. By purposefully and publicly accusing a group he legally binded himself to, he expunged any greater coverage from more renouned individuals. By shunning and forsaking criticism from those within the fandom, he denied himself the chance to amass more followers and to gain further exposure. A fight fought with fire only ends in ashes.

Go and cherish what little you have left. It won't last much longer after this

    2. HN seems to be tied in with the 4chan system. Seeing as you seem to be in a rather charitable mood, why not purchase the Captcha pass? If it works out, you will be freed of a mild nuisance for an entire year. If not, then at least you will have shown support to a professional nonprofit venue, and who knows, maybe you could appease the ongoing negativity towards your asinine actions.

    3. Career? He's a YouTube musician no-body. That's a hobby, not a career.

    4. No, anon. To his broken mind, every little thing is an immense triumph. He himself said he had anxiety issues, among other problems, so he will fervently defend his 'career.'

And so, let it be known that as of today, July 6, CA hour 8, minute 15, Aoshi has made the hardest of choices, and has removed any and all comments forced upon horse news. Now, his Odissey of Sperg Storming has come to and abrupt end. His comical antics will live on now in the hearts of the lucky many who managed to follow this ordeal in its moment.

Has he learned how to be a functioning human being with a tolerable sense of humor? Has he learned what constructive criticism is? Only time will tell now. Join us next time, on 'Who's That Cringe Master?', only on The Hub

    6. His antics live on in our hearts, our hard drives, and google cashe. The net is vast and infinite; even with deleting the comments they will still live on.

  8. Did he go out of his way to make the gayest and most cringy apology and "letter" he possibly could? I barely made it past seven minutes. If you have something constructive to say, don't try to communicate it through shitty cryptic poetry. No one cares about your "art".

If he had stopped bringing it up people would of forgetten he even existed, what an idiot.

  10. And now the apology video is gone.

  11. Leave this guy alone. It would be very matured if people learned to listen to this guy for his wishes. Bullying him, shaming him for doing something in the past just proves how right I was about this "fucked" up fandom.

Horse-news posted the video to their twitter but didn't cover it, even though it's aimed directly at them, seems odd.
