Maud Pie Clip - Clyde's Adventures seem not too far off

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THAT HAT
It's Friday which means 2 things: Horse News doesn't do anything all day (except for plan out the modifications to the Sexy Action News Van), and Entertainment Weekly posts a preview of Saturday's episode. Usually both of these events yield uninteresting predictable results. However today we get a special treat (and we aren't talking about the water bed in the back of the Sexy Action News Van). Today we get to see a headcanon come true. You can watch it here

When we first spotted young Maud in the the Cheese Sandwich episode, fans instantly took to her somewhat dopey half-lidded smile, and grew a headcanon that Maude may suffer from a mental disability of some kind (some were offended at this, because heaven-forbid Equestria have to deal with real-world life issues).

The community created a series of comics making light of her perceived condition known as Clyde's Adventures in which Clyde (fan name of Maud) likes exploring the world in her own way, and her father's struggles to raise her with patience.
With the release of today's preview clip it may seem that this assessment may not be far from the truth, as Maud is shown to talk slowly, seem very uninterested in things, and have a pet rock (which she treats like a real pet). The rest of the ponies stare at her in concern and confusion, while Pinkie Pie continues smiling unphased. Could we be expecting a "very special episode" of My Little Pony? Will the ponies need to deal with non-magical real-life problems?  Are we expecting too much from a show for little girls? Of course we are, but only time will tell.
