Soundcloud turns Pinkie! For ladybugs?

When PinkiePony isnt lambasting misogynist bronies or raising money for rape victims, she likes to show off her creative side with a little bit of music production and song writing.

The Social Justice Warrior just released her new single, “Ladybug Jamboree” on soundcloud, and later her tumblr page. The song received much praise from her fellow tumblr-ites and followers after release. Many praise the song for being “cute” and “completely original” despite its status as a cover.

Though, despite its praise on tumblr, the song did not bear so well with the denizens of soundcloud. One user commented how the song was “complete and utter trash,” commenting on her supposed lack of talent.

PinkiePony's song is a cover of a show tune from a Generation 3 My little Pony episode. It consists of a simple synth line and drum loops behind Pinky's singing. The is sped up by around 1.5 times and has a specific lofi charm to it, and the lyrics to the song show us that pre G3 ponies are not yet dead. The production of the vocals also gives a nostalgic aura off, almost as if it was recorded with the toasters that the producers of old would use.  This song is definitely a classic throwback on a time when production did not matter, and when the person who made the song was more important than the song itself.

Along with the most recent release, PinkiePony has created many other works of art.  This includes a cover of Gypsy Bard, a fan favorite, and a acting/voice reel.  This may mean that Pinkie not only wants to stick to SJW work and music, but also branch into voice acting as well, possibly working for internet videos and even the show itself.

PinkiePony has also alluded to an entire album of original songs. Along with her new song, she released a cover picture of a hand draw, pre-G4 pinkie pie with a caption stating it is for an album. PinkiePonys soundcloud certainly has more than enough songs for an entire album, but due to the apparent lack of praise, it is unsure whether Pinkie will follow through on releasing an album. 

Only time will tell if Pinke continues her endeavors towards social justice and music, stay tuned to keep up.
