PinkiePony offended yet again

With the release of a new episode, and the re-emergence of fan favourite Derpy, bronies and ponyfags are putting aside their collective autism to celebrate and probably to masturbate to a character they forgot existed.
D'aw, look at that smile

However, not every fan is euphoric about the return of this klutzy mare.
Assuming you have basic cognitive skills, don't live under a rock, and read the title, it should be no surprise that our new favourite social "freedom fighter" PinkiePony has a problem with Derpy, as expressed in a recent tumblr post.

What frightens me is that apparently a lot of people are telling a child she reminds them of a my little pony character, despite the child's protests.

Long term fans will draw comparisons to Yamino, a similar creature with a prominent chin acting on the behalf of disabled people, despite multiple disabled people telling her to fuck off.
Historians will continue to argue whether or not it was Yamino who was to blame for Derpy's subsequent censorship, but many believe she was one of the leading causes, having sent multiple e-mails to Amy Keating Rogers (who actually has a mentally disabled child) telling her how offensive it was, and that Amy should feel bad.

But that's ancient history, back to the matter at hand.
Here's a more in-depth look at just what rubs her the wrong way about this imaginary pony.

Thanks for clarifying

No fun allowed please

So it's not the character (who has no known canon mental deficiencies) that she's upset about, rather she's upset that people are making comparisons between the handicapped, and a magical, flying, clumsy horse.

While hopefully this is the end of her protests against a cartoon character about as offensive as rice pudding, I doubt that'll be the case.

Also I strongly urge anyone that knows people making these comparisons on a daily basis to talk to them, reminding them that it's wrong.
No human being should ever be measured against a magical, pastel coloured pegasus.

  1. Last time I checked, crossed eyes isn't indicative of fucking Down Syndrome. Either these are some grade-A assholes comparing this kid to a wall-eyed cartoon character, or Pinkiepony's even more fucked up than I thought for trying to garner sympathy making up stories like THIS.

  7. how dare feminism fight against a female on the screen. they are pretty much saying, "if you have any deformity what so ever, you should never be seen by anyone." way to go feminism, ruining the spirits of girls everywhere. It's also feminism that got Twist removed from the show.

  11. I remember being compared to some negative traits in cartoon characters as a kid (by other kids that is). But that in no way made me feel like those characters should have never existed. It mainly just made me mad at the people that insulted me.

Trying to put the fault on bullying on anyone else than the bully itself is like blaming rape victims for being raped. Imagine suing a clothing company for making an outfit that makes you more likely to get raped or something. It seems pretty laughable.

    1. Hint:
She made the story up. That didn't really happen.
Social Justice Warriors have this really weird world view where lying about stuff like that is okay though.
Because while it may not have happened to them, "it definitely happened somewhere" and they absolutely have to raise awareness about the 'problematic' topic.
